About Me

George Haywood, a native of Washington DC, has left an indelible mark on the financial world and philanthropy. Born on September 30, 1952, to parents who were both public school teachers, he was instilled with a passion for education and giving back from an early age. His illustrious career spans from Wall Street to private investing, marked by groundbreaking achievements and a commitment to charitable endeavors.

His academic journey commenced at DC’s Brightwood Elementary School before he enrolled at Saint Albans School in seventh grade. An accomplished athlete, he distinguished himself as co-captain of the soccer team and received All-Metropolitan honors. He also excelled in academic competitions, notably as the captain of Saint Albans It’s Academic TV quiz show team. His academic prowess led him to Harvard College at age 16, where he majored in biology.
